As Managing Director of this research center, I am pleased to present the 2024 annual report, a document that reflects the achievements and progress over the course of an exceptional year. This year 2024 has been a key period for consolidating our commitment to excellence in applied research and sustainable development, and in it we have consolidated our international leadership in engineering, water and the environment thanks to a collaborative model that connects science, society and industry.
During this year, we have consolidated the research groups created in 2023, strengthening our capabilities in strategic areas. We have also developed more than 130 projects in 25 countries, which has meant a growth of more than 12% in economic terms. We have also experienced a significant increase in our team, reaching 214 highly qualified professionals. These achievements have been backed by three international awards, which highlight our global impact and scientific excellence.
IHCantabria continues to be a benchmark in research and innovation, with more than 200 professionals committed to generating sustainable and resilient solutions. This activity report reflects our identity as a knowledge industry and as a multi-connector center, acting as a bridge between the public and private sectors to foster synergies and effective collaborations.
